Fuego en la Sangre (Fire in the blood) is the telenovela that began transmissions on January 21, 2008, through Mexico's XEW-TV, referred to as the Canal de las Estrellas. The novela is a production of Salvador Mejía and the stars are Eduardo Yáñez, Adela Noriega, Pablo Montero, and Jorge Salinas. It is the Mexican remake of the Colombian soap operas Las Aguas Mansas and Pasion de Gavilanes. Its theme song is by Vicente Fernández called "Para Siempre".


Fuego en la Sangre (Fire in the Blood) is the story of three brothers, Juan, Oscar and Franco Reyes who, before the tomb of their sister Libia, swear to avenge her death. Libia died in strange circumstances after finding out her future husband, Bernardo Elizondo, is dead and was married with three daughters while he had a relationship with her. Distraught and heartbroken at the the news, she goes to a river to denounce him while her older brothers go out in the rain, frantically looking for her. Fernando, Sophia's greedy and abusive husband, is also looking for her, after finding out the pregnant Libia could inherit some of Bernardo's money through her unborn son. Finding her near the river, he ambushes Libia and forcefully drowns her, leaving the corpse there and going back home unnoticed. The next morning, the police find her body in the river; the brothers are summoned to the site and told it was a suicide. They, however, do not believe that their sister could commit suicide because she was pregnant and so, they vow to find their sister's killer and destroy the Elizondo family for Libia. In order to fulfill their oath, the brothers go to the property of the Elizondo family in order to take revenge; but instead, after an unexpected confrontation with Don Agustín Acevedo, the father-in-law of Bernardo, and Eva, the family's servant, they are obliged to build a house inside the Elizondo family properties and pose as construction workers, replacing the ones that had already signed up for the job. This job later comes to their advantage in terms of their revenge.

With the purpose of investigating the person who caused the death of Libia, they begin to work on the house and soon they meet the three daughters of Bernardo Elizondo: Sofia, Sarita, and Ximena, as well as the conservative Gabriela Acevedo, Bernardo's former wife.

This encounter changes the course of the brothers' revenge. They decide that instead of committing a crime that harms them in the end, they are better off seducing the sisters then leaving them so that they live in their own misery, similar to Libia's suffering. The oldest brother Juan will seduce Sofia, Oscar will seduce Ximena, and Franco will seduce Sarita.

But the tables are turned when the brothers discover the sisters' different facets and begin falling in love with the sheltered girls. Juan will find in Sofia a sensible and charitable woman, whose life has denied her the possibility of being happy because of a trauma (she was raped, unbeknownst to her by her husband Fernando) and forced to marry Fernando to not cause the family any shame; according to her mother. Juan and Sofia have very strong confrontations that will cause them both to fall in love with one another. But Fernando, who is heavily favored by Gabriela, not ready to lose his wife, and with his possessive and cruel personality, causes many rifes not only between Juan and Sofia, but among all characters in the telenovela.

Oscar will find in Ximena his other half. She is an elegant girl whose one desire is to live a life that corresponds to a girl of her age. Her one true wish is to fall deeply in love. She, unlike her older sisters Sophia and Sarita, is more daring and does not wish to live and die a virgin. She falls in love first, with Oscar, gets married to him. They will establish a full relationship based on sensuality and eroticism. But, like her sisters, will face many problems with their mother because of the men they have fallen in love with.

Franco and Sarita are most likely the hardest couple to actually come together. Both sensible, loving souls who enjoy reading poetry and other literature, their naiveté will allow them to live a very tender love, full of unforeseen expenses and mix-ups because of Rosario Montes, a singer who maintained a strange relation with Franco years ago and with whom Franco is still very much in love with. Franco will have to decide between both relationships. Problems arise from issues dealing with Sarita's conservative nature and, also, from Fernando, who has been keeping Rosario as his on-the-side lover by threatening her with the disappearance of her young son.

Also on the subplots the viewer will keep track of Eva, a housemaid of the Elizondo family who was in love with Bernardo, despite Bernardo not remembering their only night of passion which resulted in a child. Gabriela forced her to give up the child upon hearing the news. Her job is to hold on to all the uncomfortable secrets that surround the family. Don Agustín, the grandfather of the Elizondo children who is in a wheelchair and a bit insane, always keeps plotting against Gabriela, his daughter. And Padre Tadeo, the priest of the town who begins to know every secret from the past through his confessional booth and who tries in vain to solve issues beyond his control.

They will go through many situations, many confrontations, encounters, and mix-ups which result in a painful decision for the Robles Reyes brothers: free themselves of the oath that they made to Libia, or be with the women whom they love in spite of everything.

Ninel Conde (born Ninel Herrera Conde; September 29, 1970 in Toluca) is a Mexican actress, model, and singer best known for her performance in the teen-aimed Mexican soap opera Rebelde..

Ninel Conde studied at the Centro de Arte y Teatro Emilia Carranza and workshops of Sergio Jiménez and Oscar Pérez. After her studies Conde worked on Televisa. Some of the projects that she undertook there included Bajo el Mismo Rostro (Spanish for 'Beneath the Same Face) (1995) and Luz Clarita (Spanish for 'Clear Light) (1996.) She also worked with Televisa's rivaling channel,TV Azteca, on various other projects including: Catalina y Sebastián (Caitlin and Sebastian) (1999) and Como en el cine (Like in the Movies) (2001).

In addition to telenovelas (soap operas), Ninel has participated in several television shows such as Al Derecho y Al Derbez, Lo Que Callamos Las Mujeres, Gente con Chispa, El Gordo y La Flaca, and Sábado Gigante, among others. Most of these are talk shows which she attended to promote her music and career.

Though her career as an actress has been mostly on television, Ninel also appeared in the film Mujeres Frente al Espejo (Spanish for "Women Before the Mirror')in which she shared credits with other major actresses, such as Silvia Pasquel, Gabriela Goldsmith, and Isaura Espinoza, and worked under the direction of Sergio Jiménez, a very highly regarded veteran director.

She has participated on 7 mujeres, 1 homosexual y Carlos (2004) directed by René Bueno and co-starred by Mauricio Ochmann (from Como en el cine). Ninel Conde has professed admiration for Angelica Aragón, Maria Felix, Demi Moore, and Meryl Streep.

She also worked in the soap opera REBELDE, it was a great hit in Mexico as well as in the United States. It attracted many viewers across the world.

She is now appearing on the Univision Telenovela Fuego En La Sangre as the singer Rosario.

She was awarded the Sol de Oro (Golden Sun Award) for the telenovela Catalina y Sebastián for Best New Actress. She also received the Palmas de Oro (Golden Palms) for her work in Mujeres frente al Espejo.

Since Ninel Conde asserts that her breasts are natural, and that she has had no plastic surgery done, the Miami-based show El Gordo y La Flaca recognized her as having the biggest breasts in all of Latin-America, as well as Sabrina.

In 2003, Ninel released her first album titled Ninel Conde which contains the single "Callados" on which she sings with her now ex-boyfriend Jose Manuel Figueroa. This album contained songs of Joan Sebastian, the (father of Jose Manuel Figueroa), as well as songs with celebrities Fato, Roberto Libi, and Kiko Campos.

In 2004 she participated in the third edition of the reality show Big Brother VIP and was voted-off after 43 days of confinement. In October of the same year she began acting on Rebelde produced by Pedro Damián. Her most remarkable role so far has been this one. Her role as Alma Rey in Rebelde (2004-2006) expanded her career from the Chile, to Romania, Africa, and Australia, countries in which the Spanish-language soap was aired.

In 2005 Conde began appearing on the American dramedy series Ugly Betty where she portrays an actress on a 'faux' telenovela that is seen by the main character's family.

Ninel also has a daughter named Sofia from a previous marriage. She broke up with Jose Manuel Figueroa in 2005 and was rumored to be dating millionaire politician, boxer, and businessman Jorge Kahwagi. Ninel was nearly killed during an aircraft flight. Upon departing Costa Rica, the aircraft aborted its take off and fell into a lake. Fortunately, the people on board were saved.[citation needed]. She married businessman Juan Cepeda in a ceremony at the port of Acapulco, Mexico on December 9, 2007. People magazine reported that her mother passed away from cancer on April 10, 2008.

Other sources cite Conde's birth year as being 1976.[1] [2]Also Ninel is one one of the Mexican actresses that has had the most plastic surgery done, such as her breast enlargement, liposuction over much of her body, and buttocks enlargement.

Na snimanju serije ,,Vatra u krvi" rasplakala se glumica i pevačica Ninel Konde,Alma iz serije ,,Rebelde".Naime,nju je ošamarila koleginica Nora Salinas,Karla iz serije ,,Opijeni ljubavlju", što je doduše,bio deo scenarija,ali tridesesedmogodišnja Ninel tvrdi da se nora previše uzivela u svoju ulogu i da joj se čini da ima nešto lično protiv nje.Salinasova kaže da to nema veze sa istinom:
,,Ja sam profesionalac i uradila sam ono što je zahtevao scenario.Daleko od toga da ne podnosim Ninel,a da ima nešto protiv nje,to sigurno nebih rešavala na takav način".
